I have a passion for problem-solving and a desire to actively make an impact which is reflected in my leadership abilities and drive as an entrepreneur.
I did not grow up in a wealthy family but instead, one that was scrappy and inventive. At a young age, my parents always encouraged me to think outside the box and dream bigger. In 1998, I came to them with an idea about a potential opportunity that would help small businesses in our community. At fourteen, my parents decided to invest in my web design business idea and sacrificed to purchase my first computer.
Many lessons learned in my earliest business ventures have paid dividends throughout my adult career including how to deal with failure and rejection, money management, time management, client relations, and the business side of creativity.
My career aspiration is to make a difference in the lives of small business owners and entrepreneurial-minded leaders as I continue my role as an effective business coach. A business coach is incredibly important in helping businesses succeed and reflecting on the tasks, skills, knowledge, and abilities required of leaders. Implementation of organizational systems is key to helping business owners achieve their goals through clearly identifying a company's vision, tracking data, identifying, and processing issues, and achieving goals through sustainable processes.
According to Rao (2014) “coaches are leaders as they support and groom others” (p. 34). To support and lead others, a coach must have a hunger for knowledge and a desire to help others become the best version of themselves for the good of the organization.
